I actually did this before the skarmory but forgot about it. Here's my interpretation of a realistic gligar. I based it's based off a mix of bat, flying squirrel, scorpion and crab.

Gigar would probably live on cliff faces, be nocturnal and have a diet that consists mainly of bug pokemon. Their tails contain a powerful paralytic agent which they use on their prey and for defensive purposes. They also use their pincers (which are hallow to reduce weight) for hunting and defence. They'd also have echolocation like bats. Obviously they're not capable of true flight but can glide great distances. They often catch prey by swooping in on them. Unfortunately I'm not sure how effective they'd be at climbing with those cumbersome pincers in the way. :/
