I felt really bad for him.... I really liked Reznov... Always there when Mason need him most...And when I found out at the end Mason imagined him I was like: Fucking why?!?! T_T Looking at this pic plus listening to the Assassin's Creed Revelations soudtrack has me tearing up. Poor Mason he lost a dear friend. Only a year they known each other and they are best friends.

Mason wouldn't have made it out Vorkuta without Reznov and I never quite realized how much I liked Reznov since his introduction in WaW. Hearing him do his rallying shout was exhilirating.

I certainly felt like they were close like brothers. Reznov never really quite got over what happent to Dimitri. Still while the brainwashing worked, it wasn't the one Dragovich that took hold, no it was Mason's trust in Reznov that drove him. Drove him to exact a long deserved retribution - revenge upon Dragovich, Kravchenko, and Steiner.

but since Mason is a CIA, he is more likely to access to means necessary to hunt down Dragovich, Kravchenko, and Steiner. And even if other Russian prisoner have equal status, they are not American - who is more adapted to world outside Soviet control which the bad guys are presumed to operate
Still, Reznov is just a father to EVERYONE, regardless of WW2 comrades or Cold War enemy:~(

maybe but Mason is the only foreigner. That mean he can operate better outside the Soviet Union than other Russian prisoners, which is where the bad guys are presumed to be hiding. Add to the weigh, he is also a CIA agent who can access to any means necessary to exact his revenge.
