oh yeah... thnx. And who the fuck says a title must relate. Have you heard of conceptual art before? perhaps the Indifference between photo an title is there for a reason . Maybe what you mean to say is that a piece needs to have 'intention ' behind it in the name which this does. So I totally disagree.

yes , I`ve heared of "Conceptual art",but forgive me you can not make a conceptual art by naming a selfportrait an erelavant title.
I didn`t mean "a piece needs to have 'intention ' behind it " I dont believe in that .But I believe any kind of art should express something for the viewer,with or without the creator intention.
what I see here is a calm person (At the outside maybe,cause by what I`ve got from your answers I think you are everything but calm!!! ),what I see here is a selfportrait of girl so relaxed looking at the mirror.This is what a viewer get (at least me) from this shot.and what`s the concept behind the title ?I donno and it seems from the comments that other viewers wrote that they didn`t get it too.
And what`s the use of a title that doesn`t help (either it is erelavant to )the artwork?

When I said "Relate" I didn`t mean "Equal".But even the most eralavant title MUST help the art work to express.
Art should Impress the viewer either in the way the artist wanted to or in a different manner from the Artist intention.But it should impress.And if not what`s the use of Art.
I could write : oh , what a pretty hair you have !!! or something . But i think it has nothing to do with commenting an artwork.

hahah it really doesn't but it seems as though you solved the very mystery of the title itself. We're talking about art. But is this site really about art? common give me an effin break ... its low life emo kids who fav goth photos of ketchup blood and badly rendered photoshop images. Perhaps my title exists because it can. Because this site is an aweful fucking joke. and hmmm did u ever think maybe its a commentary on that hahah... does it relate to the image yeah. Its my way of saying fuck you. Maybe that confuses some people or they 'don't understand' but thats not really my fucking problem. haha. Perhaps anything can be art.. but it doesnt' make it good fucking art. and whats with all your ifs and can'ts it has to be this or that? are u the fucking art guru who wrote all the shiney rules of what a piece can and can't be. I'm sure I could make art based on proving you wrong on every single one of those points and it would still be successful. Have you heard of Marcel Duchamp. Yeah, he took irrelevant titles and matched it to his works... a sort of 'beauty in the indifference' If you look up some of his lesser known readymades you'll see this. I could get into great detail about why he would do such a thing but I dont' really give an eff. ... look into dada art which dealt with such things as chance. You dont' believe a piece needs to have intention??... Well hmm an irrelivent title one would think fits into the category of whether or not there is "intention" .

aand did you ever think just because you dont' understand a conception ["whats teh concept behind the title?"] that that doesn't mean the artist didn't have a concept still, and it exists whether or not you the viewer can grasp it. If I dont' 'get why' Duchamp named a readymade which appears to be a shovel: "In advance of the broken arm" which seemingly does not relate, does it mean he had no concept. of course not. Instead of just asking why I named it that you assumed it meant nothing because you couldnt' logically solve it. Just seems a little silly.


I personally dont' do things on here for people "to get" just to clarify. I dont' find it worrying that none of the other two whole people that commented were bemused by my title. As I said this site is a fucking joke. If you relate yourself to the other numbnut fuckers who didnt' get it thats a little bit sad.

do you think when people name their work 'untitled' that that really is contributing to a piece any more so??

this is impressing my friend... i got a few lame comments of 'wtf does that mean' purpose serverd.

and finally yeah fluff comments are awesome which again if i haven't mentioned it several times -this site is a gong show. I think this has been enough ranting for me for one evening.
