Description
One of the characters from Czech myths - ancient story of Women War against Men... Vlasta was the Women leader, Sarka was the most beautiful and so she was chosen as a bite to the leader of Men - Ctirad.
She was tied to a tree next to the road where Army of Men was to march in the close future. With her the wast supply of Mead was left too.
Ctirad, as he rode by, was struck by the beauty of Sarka and he freed her, while she told him women wanted to get rid of her because of jealousy and because she didn't want to fight against men.
Men then settled a camp nerby and stayed for night... they made a wild party, drinking mead, singing, laughing... and later falling sound asleep.
That was Sarka's moment. As Ctirad was also tired and falling asleep, she asked him to blow a horn she had by her side... He did that in the last concious moment, the next he was sleeping.
In that moment Sarka realised she fell in love with the handsome Men leader... but it was too late...
The Women army rushed in furiously and they slaughtered all men in a blitz. They captured Ctirad and kept him alive for a while longer.... just to torture him to death (they wrought him in a wheel).

All this you can also hear in a musical form in the third part of Smetana's "My country" symphonic poem. It also bears name "Sarka" after the most beautiful of the women.
