This is a gorgeous piece - particularly for the position of the model. The shadows along his calf muscles into his foot are sharply accurate along with the twist of his abdominal muscles for his position. His chest muscles tenses in response works well here into the rise of the shoulders and details of the hand on the pole - and then I draw back and he's breathing. Love the expression on his face - not too much work in the pose but just enough to see the musculature at work - and the artist does not disappoint. Nicely done.
