Great use of contrast to control the depth and focal point. The sort of vignette and subordinated details near the border really make it "pop". It's also great to see pictures that aren't afraid of greys and earth-tones. It's also a great relief to me to see digital art that doesn't abuse textured brushes and has a more natural oil painting feel to it. The man's body language adds a great sense of mystery and the background and foreground details really compel the viewer to try and figure what kind of story is behind these ruins. The mysterious tone is a great way of capturing attention for a long time.

Wow. This has a "weight" that most modern images do not have, a sense of consequence. As many of your pictures do, it harkens back to the portentous religious artworks of the renaissance and later centuries -- not that it is religious itself; that the image has its own sense that what it depicts really matters. It's something of which I am profoundly jealous and something I rarely see achieved.
