It's very difficult to get any followers at DeviantArt. I don't know why, but in this connection, the webside is a total bitch. All of us small artist have that same problem.

The only tip I can give you is to look for groups that are specifically designed for the topics you like to draw.
There are more people who would potentially follow you.

yea and i'm really happy for it like to get one more follower everyday on a big art sharing website like Devianart. I rarely share my arts to a huge community like Devianart, most of em remain on my personal facebook account where my closest friend can see it, but now i wanna try to get my art to a broader audience.

My opinion is that it makes no sense to draw, if no one can look at it. But frankly, deviantart is pretty demotivating to me because nobody WANTS to watch what I draw....

DeviantArt is a bitch in this way, gettin attention is really difficult as long as you don't pay money and use core.
Sometimes it's pretty unfair. People that craw extremely good have just a few likes, and someone who's drawing stickmans has hunderts.
It makes no sense.

I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I think it's really because of the Core.
The people that get featured on the title side are most times core-users, and the whole system is based on money, not on talent.
I've seen so many no-core people who can draw good as hell, but they just have about fifteen likes - less than I have normalwhise, and they are better than me.
But on the other side, there's a guy with core that has more than 300 follovers and about 50 likes per drawing... and I don't even know what he draws, it looks like he was scribbling on the paper with a black pencil until you can't see anything anymore. It's so ugly....
And you've probably already noticed that all successful people on DA have core, or buy it at least after a short time.
I don't like (or better, I hate) this system - not everyone has enough money to pay core!

I'm new to DA so i dont really know about these problems but thanks to you now i have some insights about it.
well from this i learn may be i should buy a core membership for marketing purposes and hopefully i'll get more
audience from that.
also to be honest i hate that type of system too money over talent unlike what i've heard about Artstation
their trending system is really great and the system treats everyone the same, but i'm not really fit into
Artstation yet because i think i havent meet the standard quality on Artstation trending tab.
