It's finished *OO* I was so inspired that I didn't take me long to finish it x3 All in all I worked more than 6 hours on this, that's not much at all o: May I tell you the story about this picture? I really like many artists on dA, and many are my inspirations, but my favourit artist is Shotechi . Her pictures are breathtaking, her way to color and shade are amazing and believe me, not a single picture in her gallery looks boring *__* What I love most about her art is that she CAN draw realstic but usually draws in her very own style. So sometimes I just look through her gallery. She has a folder with horse portaits. Amazing horse portraits. And I suddenly felt like trying to draw such a horse portait, too, and try my very best to make it look as realistic as I can. So I looked for a nice stock and started to drawing. My first try was Aikantara but I grew desperate when I had to draw her forelock. I stopped this try and wanted to start a new one. But I didn't know which horse I should use. Vivi's and Royalé's manes where too long and I wanted this horse to have a shorter mane so that you could see its whole face. And the whole rest of my horses have got light manes which are very hard to draw for me But that didn't matter, because I actually planned a new horse for RES anyway (: Her name? RES Broadway Baby. She's a light bay, blue eyed thoroughbred with amazing dressage talents. You might be able to see it, she's a very shy and friendly and "lady-like" horse, and quite small for a thoroughbred :') The first thing you'd noticed if you saw her are her extremly thin legs She's a real lady She's four years old at the moment, and she'll get her reference as soon as possible I'm so in love with her I'm sure she's RES' new rising dressage star besides Apertado of course (what explaines the boring title x'D)
All in all I'm proud of this picture, though I kind of dislike her mane .__. My favorit part of the whole picture is her eye Yes I draw a whole picture and like the eye Guess that's simply me For the background I used my new Polychromos I got for my birthday *-* I simply love these pencils
