My advanced French lyric poetry class just studied poetry by Pierre de Ronsard, and my first thought was, "Cueillez dรจs aujourdโhui les roses de la vie." Such a perfect fit!

I hope you don't mind, but I shared this with my French poetry professor today. He says that this is intensely beautiful and does an excellent job of "highlighting the creepiness hidden behind an otherwise beautiful poetry."
Out of curiosity, was this inspired by Ronsard's poetry, or does it just happen to portray the same message so well?
