Nice one! Quite near to how I imagined it, too.

You could also try Zem the mattress Marvin talked to before getting dragged off my Krikkit robots, if you're up to it. x3

I love his twisty little legs. And he does look rather bouncy, doesn't he? Good idea, giving the unsung aliens of the H2G2 universe some attention!

I remember this wee guy. The conversation with Zaphod was funny.

Oh, and this one comes right after.
The insect rattled its tentacles together in agitation.
"But sir," it squealed, "I just heard on the sub-ether radio report. It said
that you were dead..."
"Yeah, that's right," said Zaphod, "I just haven't stopped moving yet. Now.
Where do I find Zarniwoop?

This is my favorite. I'm a fool for sarcasm.
The insect blinked at him. It blinked at him again.
"You are Zaphod Beeblebrox?" it squeaked.
"Yeah," said Zaphod, "but don't shout it out or they'll all want one."
"The Zaphod Beeblebrox?"
"No, just a Zaphod Beeblebrox, didn't you hear I come in six packs?"

Oh hey, I know who this little guy is. He's very well done, good work. Love the wings and the bouncyness that he seems to have. Looks like his legs are sort of like springs, so he goes around going *boing boing boing* with little flutters between the bounces. Truely alien as well, which is hard to do.

That alien was always one of my favorites. I've been told it IS shown briefly in one of the comics, but I'm not sure if that's true. And of course, Adams probably didn't even have a set idea of what it looked like (since he didn't even know how Marvin, his own favorite character, should look like). I think it was described as having three eyes and pink wings, but this is pretty much the sort of thing I had always pictured. I kinda wonder why tentacled insects are so rare in alien/monster designs...real insects may not have tentacles per se, but you'd think they'd go together a lot more often in exotic beings.

It also looks a little like a Cinruss (illustrated in Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials, originally from the novels of James White)

I'd actualy make appointments if the secretaries looked like this.
Nice idea to give some of the undersung aliens a little spotlight.
