Last one alive, lock the door!Oh man, I almost forgot to post this. I'd been pecking away at it here and there between working on personal stuff, and it nearly got lost in the shuffle.
I'm LTTP by like, forever, but I was given some guilt-free spending money my past birthday, and after admiring the art design and humor from afar for ages I finally bought & tried Team Fortress 2. I mean it was only ten bucks with no subscription fees how could I not.
Ahhhhh I am in frickin' love with this game what the hell. I've loathed FPS games my entire life, and yet here I am enjoying the hell out of myself. I mean when you get down to it it's just you and random (often 16-year old asshole) people shooting each other, but somehow it's fun. Turns out good art design, good game balance and a super loose sense of humor about the whole thing makes for pretty fun times. I still die a hell of a lot and have a lot to learn, and it IS the internet so you run into plenty of special people, but man I don't care. There's swords and baseballs and sandviches and dialogue that makes me laugh. The world history and most everything out of Soldier's mouth is like it's ripped from Uncyclopedia.
I favor Sniper, being one of those people that tends towards the Sneaky DPS-types in every game I play, but honestly I love all nine morons in the game. The character designs and everything around them are great, and they're just so goddamn endearing. I'm not used to the concept of nameless blood-thirsty mercenaries being so lovable, haha.
Did this long-standing favorite of a meme to get stuff out of my system, because I've come to terms with the fact that drawing is about the only way to get my retarded fangirlish glee for something out of my system. It's also good general drawing practice, 'cos hey I actually like how quite a few things here came out. How about that.

I've never seen an FPS game with so many lady players (and lady artist players to boot), it is kind of great. This is one hell of an addictive game/"fandom".

I turn into a damn chatterbox on this site, especially late at night, what the hell haha. I don't really feel like spamming my account and followers with loads of fan art so I guess I wanted to get the majority of my dorky feelings out in one place or something? I'm goin' with that.
Man I bet whenever you get internet on the Xbox you'll still have fun even without the additional stuff, it didn't get popular and talked about before any updates were made for nothin'. I mean I don't have any hats yet and I still had fun before I started getting any unlockable items & weapons. I'm just sad that the console/computer thing means we can't grief each other bawww.
Is there a 'Create Server' option in the console version? If nothing else there's that and the Commentary Maps where you can just run around by yourself and check out the layouts & design and practice doing stuff with the various classes so you won't go in blind later on.

I don't know why you're askin' me! I can't play the game at all without the internet, so while I have it I've never been able to get past the loading screen 'cause there's 100% no offline playability for the thing. When I got it I was hoping I could at least tool around in empty maps or something to get a feel for the game, but nope.
