Why do you say we're Night and Day?

These are *Skwinky 's and my D&D characters in Rising Legion, the online D&D game we play in. :3 The lovely lady on the left is Xiao Fuu, her paladin. The undead fellow on the right is Lord Jonan of Thaydin, my necromancer.* They spent the entire first half of the campaign bickering, but in a largely unforeseen development on anyone's part, they have become utterly smitten with each other (though at time of writing, neither has managed to tell the other exactly how they feel). This potential relationship IS A BEAUTIFUL THING and I am continuously/obsessively encouraging it by drawing pictures like this.

*Any resemblance to my RW character Jonan of Rusanne is... purely coincidental, of course.

The imagery here worked entirely too well. Obviously, Fuu is the unquenchable optimism to Lord Thaydin's snarky pessimism. But then you get into nationality (the "shining sun" imagery associated with Chinese propaganda is meant to be suggestive of the China-inspired country of Lenzia, from whence Fuu hails -- meanwhile Lord Thaydin is one of the Lords of the Crescent Isle - OH LOOK crescent moon), and the characters' preferred weather (Fuu gets cold easily and likes sunning; Lord Thaydin is partially undead and burns like a vampire in the sunlight)

I drew this about three months ago, but I am still pretty happy with it. >u>
