More animals for character design!
The categories we had to choose from were as follows:
Dinosaurs, cats, primates, large animals, forest animals, farm animals, bears, horses, insects, human/animal morphs, and mythical creatures. We had to choose three to do (but I did four...so shoot me.)

Ok, so I REALLY enjoyed this one. I don't do many dragons, so I decided "You know what? I want to draw a dragon." So I did. (Obviously this goes in the mythical creatures category. Aren't you proud of me for branching out and not doing another griffin? lolz)

I got some really good critiques from my teacher and classmates. One classmate pointed out how I should re-think some of the design because he was confused as to whether it was a massive dragon, or a small dragon. When I drew it I imagined him to be quite large, but I can definitely see his point about the confusion. So imina try to go back and address some of those issues. Its mostly with the large head, and small eye.

My teacher, Ryan, pointed out how I have the shapes all the same size. There aren't really any big, medium, or small shapes. The head, wings, chest cavity, and the negative space beneath his stomach are all the same size. So he suggested I take it into photoshop and manipulate it with the liquify tool to break up some of those up by shrinking the head, enlarging the wings, and maybe arching the back even more. He said it would really strengthen the overall design. So Im gonna do that as well.

Overall people generally really liked the design. It was placed on the medium wall because some weren't sure if he had enough personality, which I can see. Plus it was a small print and you couldn't quite see the details of the face like you can when looking at the digital file, but yeah. I really thought it was a wonderful critique.
