so this is what I've been up to for a bit besides school. My wife and I's 5th year wedding anniversary is coming up this Sept 24th so I thought I'd render some drawings of our weiner dogs. This first one is our bitch (ha that works on both levels) Isabelle. She is an amazing dog but can also bring me to the brink of wanting to destroy her.This took about 6 hours at work nonstop....well besides potty breaks and looking busy with work stuff

i love it!!!! could you give me some pointers? i'm trying to do drawings like this (i have 4 in my galery) but i am strugaling with the shading and fur. if you would want anything in return i would gladly do anything i could. thank you for your trouble, you are really very talanted.

I would go to ya nearest art store and look for blending sticks. They helps save a lot of time with shading and you can get nice textures with it as well. All I used for this piece was a mechanical pencil and 2 blending sticks

Thank you for the kind words, but don't ever compare yourself with fellow artist. Focus more on creating what you are feeling. The ability will come with practice to create exactly what you see in your mind. I still have a ways to go

She's beautiful... I just wished I wasnt so lazy and hadnt stop with the realistic drawings... Havent done any since high school. Only anime now.. -_-
But just looking at your drawing... The dog looks beautiful. And just by looking at the drawing I guessed she was a girl!! XD Then I read your comment and my mind screamed "YES!!" couse I had guessed right. Awesome job, I love your shading skills, youre awesome.
