Yes, I'm a dragon fanatic, and this dragon is by far my favorite. This was one of my first works done in colored pencil, and to this day I am still amazed at how well it came out.

I drew it as a present to my high school sweet heart as an anniversary gift, but when we broke up a few years later he gave it back to me. I'm glad he did, as I simply adore how the colors came out on this one. It may not be the best in the world, but for a first attempt, it was rather impressive.

This dragon was modeled from an illustration by John Howe in the book A Diversity of Dragons by Anne McCaffrey. (All dragon lovers should really take a look as this book. It's charming and full of excerpts from various dragon-fantasy books, and Mr. Howe's work is simply amazing.) As this is not my own original work, it © to John Howe.
