Happy Columbus DayWhile I am somewhat opinionated about some things, I try not to get on a soap box over them ... but this time, I'm gonna
so get ready ... if you're PC, you'd probably be better off just passing this one by.
I'm talking about Columbus Day. Or should I say the current (because today IS Columbus Day) hate-America thing going around this country.
All day I've heard about this day being re-named other things and celebrating something OTHER than the discovery of America. I live in Oklahoma City and one of the universities here renamed it "Indigenous People" day and celebrated the Native American Indian heritage. And while I think that is grand, in fact, I TOTALLY believe we should have a holiday where the entire country celebrates Native American Indians, it is NOT what this day is about.Β
It's just fucked up. Those who don't like this country, need to get the fuck out or shut up.
To my knowledge, this day, Columbus Day, has NEVER been the celebration of the massacre of the native Ameri
