!!!Download for full view!!!Finally this mask is done. Been working on commissions as well as this one and the Jaguar mask ever since I was able to get some things out of storage. Not everything is out yet, but it will be soon I hope.
Unlike the Jaguar mask (which is airbrushed), this one is dry brushed (as in I took paint on a paint brush and hand applied it by hand, smoothing and blending it with a wet rag. The results make the fur a bit stiffer and the blending mount is fair, but you can control where the color goes.
The far left picture shows the full movement ability of the jaw. the "white" you may see on the nose and lips is just shine. Nose, lips, and mouth is glossed to not only protect the paint, but to provide a nice realistic shine.
This mask is for sale!!! Most likely for $600-$700. I will be posting it up on Furbuy as soon as I get my camera so I can shoot video of it.
Hand painted glass following eyes, hand cast resin face and jaw set. The back does up via velcro. You will want to wear a hood underneath. One will not be provided.

So the shiny black fur is actually painted? I've never seen such shiny shaved faux fur

hey what frist step do you do like the black hat thing the foam base? i been doing the foam base but it not the best any tip or ideas for i different one? (i have only have one fursuit lol)

may i ask a question as i am currently drybrushing my helldog,when the paint is all dried and such do you brush it to make it soft again? or just leave it stiff ? i just wanna know what the best way for it is

Normally you brush it as it dries so it is soft. If you wait until it dries, it will be difficult to brush it.

Dry brushed.... geez- and i thought you HAD to use an expensive airbrush for these types of details!
That makes me feel a little more confident :3 I'd like to try dry brushing.

Lol nope. Whereas the airbrush would have made things much smoother and nicer, dry brushing is a nice and inexpensive alternate. ^^
