"ma'am"...? Do I need to curtsy when I say "You're welcome"...?..

Thank you. I actually have re-worked this image...improved the composition, reworked the back ground, etc., and thought about posting it, but I'm just not big on posting re-do's.

Wow, this is absolutely stunning, it's SO beautiful, the flow, the colours, the sphere, it's all fabulous

sharkrey In reply to Thelma1 [2005-11-14 19:31:01 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much. You know, I had originally done this piece for a designer friend of mine, but I was never really happy with it. You mentioned flow, and I think that's part of my problem with the piece...it doesn't really balance well.

I'm currently working on a redo (which I don't normally do, but feel this piece deserves it) and I should have it up in a day or so.

Thanks for taking the time to poke around in my gallery...I'm a big fan of your's...

quite beautiful, the fractal, but the post-work isn't that great. I'd change that font and opt for something more formal.
good job though! :-D the fractal's quite good.

I agree...the font sucks. What was I thinking? Oh, I remember, it was three in the morning, I wasn't thinking!

Definitely changing it for the print version. Thanks!

That is definitely a great composition. I love the contrast of the blue against white, although I didn't see that the background was red until I full viewed it. Personally, I would have made the red part a smidge darker, just to keep the focus on the blue/white.

This piece reminds me quite a bit of your Emerald piece. Is it the same equation, or just something close?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sharkrey In reply to amberwind [2005-08-24 21:05:29 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, the background could be darker. I have a designer that I'm starting to work with, and she pretty much ordered me to use this color pallette. It prints as a chocolate brown and sky blue.

The main shape is from Man-Brot by Andrea Spinnozzi (as.ufm). The ucl is Doodads II, like Emerald Visions, but different settings.

Also used in the piece are:
Hopalongs (sdc.ufm) with Disk Plasma (sdc.ucl) and 3D SFBM (sam.ucl)
Pixel (mt.ufm) with Orbit Traps (standard.ucl)
Trap Viewer (dan.ufm) with S.F.B.M II (sam.ucl)
Popcorn Mset (mt.ufm) with Perlin Noise (mt.ucl)

And I bet that was waaaay more than you really wanted to know, lol!!!
