Happy birthday, Shelley!Finally finished it! @.@ I wanted to try a new style, greatly inspired by Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist, Alphonse Mucha ♥. This is 's character, Switch.

...wow, I'm quite literally struck dumb by this. not only are you one of the precious few people to draw me art of Swift, I'm terribly touched that you remembered my birthday! ♥
and I haven't even said anything about the art itself yet, wow. Mucha is definitely a fantastic source of inspiration, and I love the nods to him in the curly wispy clouds and the way you did the lines. and the colours!! so gorgeous and rich. I know I have trouble coming up with complementary colour schemes when I draw this bugger because she has so many colours of her own, but you've pulled it off magnificently. much love to the ambient lighting too. all of it is amazing. and of course you drew her exactly as she was meant to look, I truly feel like you captured her personality and look perfectly. but somehow you always seem to succeed at that!!
I'm sorry it took me so long to actually see this apparently, I've been distracted by a lot of things lately - not all of them happy - but this cheers me right up. thanks so much, Shani, I'm glad we're still friends.

Thankees for the wonderful comment! The only trouble I had with her colors was the bright pink of her inner head-wing, which I had to lighten and desaturate a pinch.
And don't forget that you drew my Chinese Crested for me too!

Looks kinda strange; probably because of the large nose taking up half of her(?) face. I like the "heavenly portal" message.

her head design is supposed to look birdlike; she's not really human. it's how I draw her, though I allow people to draw her with a human-proportioned face if they are more comfortable with that. Shani pretty much captured the look of it perfectly
