Headbutt- - Used at close range or when tensions are high at the beginning of a bar fight, Athol grabs the collar of the foe. Head is drawn back and is swung forward smashing against the other's face. Due to the Litleo’s current height this attack only reaches the opponent's nose or front set of teeth.
Noble Roar- - A move Athol picked up from both parents while being on the receiving of it for so many years, Athol now utilizes it in fights and minor confrontations before things get out of hand. A somewhat deep bellowing of a roar which intimidates the enemy, as of now Athol is still perfecting it.
Take Down- - Athol rushes at the target then grabs them and flips them over onto their back, a move very similar to judo or wrestling, although with Athols small stature it does inflict strain on body causing them pain.

Rivalry - Going into battle Athol will deal more damage when dealing with a foe of the same gender.

Personality

Prideful - Cantankerous - Rowdy - Unsophisticated

It’s a lion’s natural trait to act and behave superior and of course this mannerism is found in Joplin family tree, Athol being no exception to this. With so many other mouths to feed and striving for attention from both parents, over the years Athol became more and more irritable and grouchy. Granted their ill tempered nature has dwindled a bit, but only after entering the real world and coming into contact with individuals who are less likely to deal with such behavior. That said the fiery storm of Athol’s short-temper does rear its ugly head every now and then on different levels, from a little upset to full-on outraged. With so many siblings around and fighting for whatever claim, Athol is quite the roughhouser. Angry or just for fun, Athol gets rough and physical with people they’ve come to know, doing such things as nipping ears, yanking tails or causing individuals to fall by kneeing the back part of their legs to buckle backwards. All in all, this shows how closed in Athol was during their youth from the outside world. Having bad social cues outside of the family, Athol is quite crude, interrupting people when they talk, unaware of hierarchy, proper status or showing little respect to others. This is still a work in progress and they are slowly working on correcting themselves.

Dutiful - Intrepid - Hearty - Ambitious

With the years of working at the docks and climbing up ranks to become a sailor, even though Athol is on commission for whomever needs an extra pair of hands on their ship, the Litleo is known to be very devoted to their line of career. No matter the task, whether it's swapping the deck or peeling off the barnacles off the side of a boat, Athol goes in at 100% just another form of pride which Athol relishes in. Living off the saying the Litleo’s father used to say, "In an instant while out on sea, anything can be an adventure just wait and see" - no matter the job, whether it's working on a merchant ship, whaling or simply travelling from city to city, they are a complete thrill seeker. While naturally hearty and carefree as any other sailor when off of the job, Athol still has their ambition on their mind at all times, sneaking into navy personnel classes only to be kicked out or asking different captains to tutor them. This has not deterred the Litleos spirit, as they’ve managed to steal numerous books and maps in order to train themselves in the art of ship handling and becoming a proper captain.

Talents

- Has a lovely singing voice, yet is careful to never pull off a high note in front of other sailors.
- Athol can tell when a storm is about to brew when their left pinky toe starts to hurt.
- Excellent hearing and keen eye sight even during a stormy night while out at sea.

Loving the sea as much as they do, it did take a couple years for Athol to finally leave the docks and board a vessel. With one of the biggest myths being debunked: that women on board brings bad luck, Athol has no worry or concern of that being true. Other superstitions on the other hand still hold sway and concern, such as never sailing on unlucky days, always paying their dues and debts and cats on board bringing good luck.
- Being a sailor it's very common to have fights happen on a regular basis, and being a normal type Athol is very weak and avoids any physical confrontations as much as they can, to where their method to settling a score is done by a drinking game or an arm wrestle, from which Athol has lost more than a few.
- Monthly gift is a pain to deal with while out at sea, yet works in Athols favor when the crew come up against cargo ships and other pirates, Athol is noted to be more ruthless.
- Water is a problem for all fire types, especially when one is being battered by it on a regular basis. That being said, Athol has grown a stronger resistance to it, but it still hinders their flames when in use.

History

For three days an unfamiliar ship was anchored out in the harbor with low activity on deck, rumors grew but very little knowledge about the vessel was known, nonetheless the town’s people perceived that whoever owned it was keeping a low profile which was not unusual here in lawless Sul. Upon the ships arrival on the fourth day documented by the coast guard, in the dead of night a small boat descended into the water off the side of the vessel. Five passengers were present, yet only three had gone to shore, the ones who remained returned to the ship, sailed away and were never seen again. Waiting by the docks was a Mudbray-drawn wagon that the three concealed strangers entered and rode away, heading towards the outskirts of town.

The mysterious family now known as the Joplin’s grew less irrelevant as the years went by. As they dwindled in significance they grew in size, from three to seven family members. Cináed (Pyroar) and his wife Abigail (Litleo) adapted rather quickly in raising their five (Litleo) children within the slums of Sul. Cautious and aware of the dangers they kept their children, Abi, Arbela, Athol, Ansley and Archibald home at all times, never going into great detail as to why besides the obvious. Try as they may to keep the Joplin children in captivity, as they got older they became self-reliant and ventured out without parental supervision. Sadly this rule had to come to an end as both parents themselves could no longer keep up with their demanding occupations with Cináed working on the docks, fishery and for hire on ships, and Abigail domestic service along with managing the family stall. Three of the eldest: Abi, Arbela and Athol were now the job holder of the family. With great doubt and concern about these sudden changes, no one was happier about them than Athol.

When it came down to sneaking out of the house Abi and Arbela could never persuade Athol to venture out along with them, try as they may their parents decree was law and Athol was not going to break it, not for a night out on the town or for the sea that called to them day after day. Years went by, the Joplin children grew older and both parents grew weaker with age. Abigail was the first to retire after suffering from a stroke and being unable to work, Cináed had to step up and gladly did so just to support the family. Meeting many problems with his health, the Pyroar’s stubbornness kept them at bay until he no longer could. One night seated around the table the news of change that was soon to betide was shared, Abi, Abrela were shocked while Athol elated, knowing exactly what she wanted to do the Litleos joy turned sour in her mouth. Horrible fears and stories flooded her mind, incidents that Abi and Abrela had endured over the years, assault and sexual advances from strangers - one that lead to Abi having an unwanted baby after being forced upon. Much to Athols dismay they opposed the idea, choosing a safer occupation for a young lady, Athol ran the food stall with Abi.

For a year and half Athol wasted away while managing the family stall, alone. Abi went off to become a librarian and Arbrela, while working as a domestic maid in a upsate house, caught the eye of the chauffeur and wed him. Athol being dutiful as they were just to have a steady income siphoning in, along with having no other interest in other meaningless jobs. The middles child remained at the stall and grew bitter with each passing day, which was a poor sight to see for both parents. One day after returning from long day of work Athol was shocked to see her dad all dressed and ready in his usual work attire. Convincing Athol he was just fine and not out of his mind both father and daughter had a long talk which lead to Athol finally confessing her problem, wishes and desires. Thinking the worst when dad left the room and soon returned with mother, Athol sat in the chair reeling with anxiety and worry, eyes closed just waiting for the hollers and dreadful words. Athol yelped in pain as her head was tugged back seeing bits and pieces of her hair fall to the floor of the room. Told that there still may be ships coming that need unloading, and that a pair of his old pants and shirt may or may not fit her, Athol quickly ran off and returned dressed up as a boy no longer tired from the day.

For five months with the support and encouragement from her father even though he was still in retirement, Cináed accompanied Athol to different jobs that needed workers along the docks, working up from helping with unloading the ship to becoming an actual sailor, he soon would no longer find Athol anxiously waiting by the door. The Litleo's confidence grew to where she could go out by herself, even for days out at sea, traveling the Orbis waters and looking for adventures like she wanted.
