*You see that Chara has died once again after her 5th attempt of sparing Sans.

*This is your chance to persuade her for a true reset.

*A reset in which the files can be rearranged, so as to obtain your happy ending.

*You attempted to taunt her by replaying cutscenes of the genocide route, and it's somehow successing.

*Seeing her hesitation and her hands trembling fills you with D E T E R M I N A T I O N.

Anyways, this is a contest entry for Twist Fate

My concept here in this art is that, what if somehow, the files were rearranged (maybe a glitch?), giving Chara a chance to make up for her mistakes? What if only a reset was required to obtain the previous last save file, of the pacifist ending? Problem is, Chara is DETERMINED to make up for her mistakes, and to play through the game in order to gain forgiveness. By watching from the sidelines of the happy ending unfurling in front of Frisk's(the player, your) eyes, Chara wants to feel it, to feel accepted. She wasn't accepted by humanity, so why not give a shot in trying to regain that happiness? With the occurence of that glitch, she is willing to give it her all to make up.

Unfortunately, with the glitch in the game, Sans figured a hacker was the cause of the sudden restart. As what Sans normally does to hackers, he first approaches, only being able to see Chara. Outraged, Sans summoned his army of bones and gaster blasters. Obviously, Chara didn't have time to try and talk with Sans, and thus had their soul ripped in two. Once Chara arrives at the menu button, Frisk (Or actually, YOU as the player, the controller of Frisk) appears, with a tiny grin. (So yeah, Chara and Frisk swapped places, where you know, when you/Frisk returns to the game menu, you somehow encounter Chara trying to make you change your mind and reset)

So yeah, obviously, most of us don't really fancy Chara(so in this case, you don't like Chara). And also, you figured that well, if Chara manages to gain that forgiveness, you wouldn't have your pacifist ending anymore, things will change. Not wanting that to happen, (and with your knowledge of video games), you attempt to convince Chara to let it be, to be her old self, to pick up the knife and leave and reset.

You find out she's extremely determined. You played some cutscenes from a fie which contained the genocide route. You replayed the scene where 'she' killed Toriel, Papyrus, Undyne, Asgore, Sans. You are doing your best to remind her that whatever she did, it will never be erased. You are doing your best, to tell her there isn't any hope, and that for her to have her own ending, she should just R E S E T, and show her L O V E.

So yeah, YOU are the villain here, because instead of giving a chance to Chara to make up for her wrongdoings, YOU are making her reset, and manipulating her to forget about hope.

But yeah.... I hope it did ^^
(Hehe, I decided to go for Undertale, because I love this game so much XD)
