Description I happened to need to go to the bathroom at the right time. We pulled over to an outhouse right next to the woods and when I came out, my dad was telling me to take my camera and get over there quickly. Here was this bull with a HUGE rack about 20 feet away from us! It was my goal this trip to see a bull elk with a huge rack somewhat close for a good photo--I didn't think I'd get this close! He seemed pretty content eating while we photographed him. When we went back to the ranger's station later in the day, he mentioned that that large bull typically hangs around in that area.

Was that photo taken in Yellowstone National Park? Iยดve already been there and it was GORGEOUS!

Yes it was! I've only been there once, but it was SO much fun! I hope to go back there many times in the future, but we'll see what happens. On this particular trip, my one main goal was to see a big bull elk--and voila!

I saw lots of elk in YNP, even day-old babies, but the only big bull I saw was too far away from my camera....
But Iยดm proud for having seen wild moose and bears!

Wow amazing, I would love to see him again when that velvet is gone, he'll be the love of all the ladies ^^ Honestly sometimes I think male deer know their antlers are gorgeous

Thank you! Dah, I know! I so wished I was there in Fall, but I guess I can use my imagination for that. Apparently, he was quite frequent in that area and allowed visitors to get fairly close without seeming to mind. Definitely a bit of a show-off.
