Gentleman's Court Dress to 1820A proper gentleman of mature years is prepared for attendance at court in full dress. He wears satin or velvet breeches, a high-cut single-buttoned tailcoat of striped Spitalfields silk, and a heavily-laced cravat. His costume is completed by a faille waistcoat, silk stockings, Spanish leather pumps, and a full tie-wig.
