The morph is excruciatingly painful for the most part. Bone and muscle tissue has to reconfigure it in order for full Lycan traits to take full effect. With the benefits of being a Lycan, the pain is well worth it. Awesome transformation, btw.

that is a girl that would scare me as she bit me. i think i'd still enjoy it . i can't even explain what is done. its too much that i can't comprehend as a maniper yet. though the muzzle is great. the ridges look so cool. i just don't understand how the face comes out so clear with that much done to it. very nicely done. great work

you're so sweet ^^ well i will tell you this, I have noticed that a lot of manipulators when making wolves or dogs, tend to use just the liquify filter and pull the face out, giving it a distorted appearance if pulled too much, so what I do, is using the lasso tool, I select from about the bridge of the nose around the cheek area then outside of the chin and rest of the face like so: [link] once I make that selection, I use the arrow tool to cut it and move it out a bit to elongate the face like so: [link] Now, once I have that selection in the place I think looks good, I use the warp tool that is in edit/free transformation then you see it up in the right hand corner looks like a grid, see that here: [link] now once I have that tool in use, I move around the edges of the selection to match up with her chin line and also with the bridge of her nose like so: [link] Now once I have it in good position and I have the length I like, THEN I use the liquefy and push the nose and such like so: [link]

so thats pretty much how I begin the process of my dogs/wolves ^^ of course theres a little more tweaking and things that go along and personal preference to how things look, but maybe this will help you out!

This looks like a real handy way of doing a lot of interesting things to pix. Thanks a million for sharing that with us. I know it's going to help me a lot cause it's something I've been wondering about for a long time and wanting to know how to do.

ah you're welcome! I dont mind helping people get to where they need to go, sometimes people just dont know theres certain tools and how to use them. I really should do a photoshop tutorial, or another tutorial on kitties

Puppetdog In reply to shakealicious [2009-01-27 02:19:35 +0000 UTC]

That would be sooo cool! And greatly appreciated. Sometimes I think I know what I want to do but haven't any idea how to go about it or what to look for in a tutorial or in my photoshop book. And usually when I do go looking I just can't find it because it's not called what I think it would be----frustration. I guess the best thing would be to buckle down with the book and study and study and experiment but I have a hard time doing that.

yeah, its tough especially with a book. I learned just by trial and error.. I just got a picture and started messing about with just about every tool I could find, played with every layer style, just to see what it did.. it can take a while I will tell you, my best tools:lasso tool, patch tool, liquify, dodge and burn.one can pretty much create most of my manipulations with these 5

Interesting. That is similar to the technique I use, but I don't have warp in my old copy of photoshop, so I end up using the distort function combined with small nudges with the liquify tool.

yes, I had an older version for a long time, I think the warp started with cs2 ( i could be wrong) I find it very helpful.

thank you! well, I dont know if Im misleading anyone with the title, I wont be taking this picture any further, I will just be adding new pictures of other Lycans, probably deeper into the transformation. I have two in the works that Im REALLY excited about, one is finished, but I TOTALLY suck at backgrounds and I have to put a background in, or it totally loses the feel of the picture and its killing me cuz everything I put looks like shit!

Outstanding job kiddo. THe nose and mouth look incredible. Maybe something more with the teeth or claws would enhance it nicely. You just keep getting better and better.
