Description If I was to draw a comic or write a fanfiction I would definitely try to make it as different as possible from the run-of-the-mill Coraline story. Namely, you have to have plot to care about the characters. So...

~/~/~

...it's been years since Coraline and Wybie defeated the Beldam. She and Wybourne have actually been married for awhile, the former running her own greenhouse/gardening shop in the town and he possessing a motorcycle/car repair and refurbishing place. Lately, however, they've started to argue more and more and they've grown distant.

Coraline suggests that they separate. And decides to move back in with her parents for a while in the Pink Palace, bringing their eight year old daughter Lilian (or another name, suggestions welcome) with her. Wybie is still at the house he inherited from his grandmother upon her death, the one that they two of them have been in for over ten years.

But although their memories of the Beldam have become dusty and cobwebbed within their minds, she still remembers them...and even with only one hand left, there's no doubt that she can sew a fine stitch.

Meanwhile Lilian dreams of a home in which her parents still love one another and there isn't any more arguing. A place hovering on the edge of her dreams, if she can just find her way in...

Yep. That's the basic summary. And style notes: Coraline's hair is now a pixie cut, spiked, and she inherited her mother's hips. XD Wybie has a goatee...and what seems to be a straight-jacket coat. Lilian has her mother's features and frame, her father's automatic bad posture, and a combination of hair from both parents (wavy not curly, but definitely brown. XD ). Her eyes are hazel, similar to her father's green.

Coraline and Wybie belong to Neil Gaiman and other people. Lilian and the style revamps are mine.

Probably not. *sighs helplessly* I barely have enough time to work on the stories I've already got in-progress, much less start something new, regrettably.

This scenario will probably remain a fantasy of mine. But I'm not overly surprised--every art piece that I create is seemingly backed by a story, so I am accustomed to letting things go in order for them to find their own way in the world.

Such is life.
