The tale of Thrym will always be my favourite Norse myth 
Thor: *gets smashed at a giant's house*
Thor: "Fuck! I lost my hammer!"
Everyone: "Loki, fix it."
Loki: "Dammit why can't you fix your own prob-- Okay."
Loki: "Thor put on this dress. We're gonna pretend you're a lady and marry you off to a giant."
And the myth gets continually more ridiculous....

lol Has to do with this one incident in Norse mythology and in the Marvel comics where Mjolnir got taken and it was demanded that the Asgardians hand over Freya as a bride in exchange for the hammer. Well, Loki got the brilliant idea that Thor should pretend to be Freya and Loki the handmaid in order to infiltrate and get back the hammer. Just a lot of lulz, really.
