It was rare to see Goldie show any negative emotion other then annoyance, so I was more then a little surprised when he nearly collapsed to his knees then suddenly grabbed me and started crying to my shoulder, saying over and over "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..."

What's he sorry f...... Oh, the bite, I realize. I forgot he told me that sometimes he is overwhelmed by his emotions and that event harmed him deeply still haunts him even to this day, even now, I guess that's why....

I hesitantly put an arm around his shoulder and a hand on the back of his head.

"It's... Alright Goldie..." I whisper to him as he sobbed and trembled.

I know that, even though I wasn't there when it happened, it wasn't his fault. He couldn't stop it, it was cruel fate, it's in the past, he needs to stop blaming himself.

But even I am not sure if he'll ever forgive himself...

"Blaming one's self for an event that you couldn't control." A negative trait that Goldie and I myself have, both me and Golden blame ourselves for events we couldn't control(Goldie- the Bite Of 87. Me- My father leaving.), the only problem is me and Goldie never tell anyone and just bottle the emotions caused by the event(s) up until we can't hold it in anymore. The difference between me and Goldie is his breaking point/fuse is shorter then mine (and I've been holding it in for years and I still haven't cracked/broken once) and I don't have a shoulder to cry on unlike him.

(Also, Goldie is much tall then Mangle, her head(minus her ears) barely makes it past his shoulder, hence the reason I said he nearly collapsed, here he's nearly on his knees, but still standing so not quite.)
