I love how much there is to this. Not only is there the subject, but the texture added by the tea-staining. The way you've drawn the hair is so beautiful. Great colors!

I remember tea-staining paper in primary school but it never worked quite like that... how do the darker patches come up? are the little spots grains of instant coffee? (i made a lot of treasure maps lol)

great work I like how youve used a mask shape for her face...

depends on how you stain it, and no, this one did not have any coffee. [link] that link might help explain it a bit better (scroll down a bit) .. but it's basically a 1 or 2 week process.

on one of your other deviations, you also used tea stained paper. that idea actually helped my get a 100% on a project for my sociology class! thanks! haha

and she's beautiful. i like how her fave looks like the tragedy mask in theater.

for a sociology class? explain! lol this is a first for me, usually it's just other art projects that some of my experiments work out for.

hahaha. well, it was a project on italy, basically a book. and i wanted to make it look old, so i thought 'hm...old old old...oh! tea stain! like shadowgirl!' and voila! so...yeah. thanks!

hehe. gotcha I was thinking it'd be something like that.

saw a show on a home&garden network where the guy stained plaster with coffee to age it a few hundred years, much much darker though
