Description A weaned grey seal pup watches me on the other side of the fence that keeps tourists out of the actual colony at Donna Nook. Pups at this colony are unafraid of people and weaned pups, looking for places to get away from the breeding adults, often sleep by the fence or push their way through it!

His fur looks so soft, too - looks better on him than some rich tart, of course... I'm just saying how I'd love to be able to stroke it!

mmm they are very soft when they aren't covered in mud! (they moult the fur 2 weeks after birth and you can pick it up)

Thanks everyone Donna Nook in the UK is definatly the place to go if you want to see seals close up, but mind that you go in novembber/december when they are there!
