it's actually quite terrifying - all these hands erupting from the earth. That other one off in the distance just gives the whole thing quite a creepy feel. As if all these hands are crawling out to take over the leafy trees....
or maybe that's just my over-active imagination.
Either way, this is an awesome shot, and you should be really pleased with it.

I like the shot, especially how the background blends away. The tree seems to lose a good bit of detail with the contrast here, the white just washes out the texture. Otherwise a great shot.

Digital raw and my PS plugin lets me choose which b/w film preset.. this is Agfa pan.... hehheh..... bit of pd work done on the colour version which is in my sun-seeker account!
