Description
This was laying around unfinished way too long and today I decided to finally finish it!I wanted to draw a phoenix again so bad all the time I saw my old commissioned drawing of one:

A rather popular one as well and quiet a few people already tried to steal it.
anyway.
here is a new pheonix drawing.. nothing really special about it, just a plain phoenix without a background or anything
but still....

This little work of yours brings back memories. Autumn or as some call it Fall. The beginning of school year and the days of my childhood. Actually, this is my favorite time of the year. Season of warm colors. Why do I like it? Simple: As I mentioned, firstly the beautyfull colors, secondly all those annoying flying crawling insects are finaly almost gone, then my annoying allergies end, the sweaty hot days no more, its not cold enough to freeze but refreshingly cool and the sun starts to be more - not blinding. And of course don't forget the magic seeping into the air. And therefore I like this season.
The phoenix - magical creature of fire and rebirth. I remember those times when I could feel and believe in magic. Novadays not so much. Although I see the beauty of nature there is something missing. Magic. Maybe I growed up.
This bird creature is one of those beings that are hard to please me. Sometimes its their form other times their coloration. Mostly I don't find them appealing, but this one is different. I like it, but there is still missing something. Maybe it's me. For some reason I don't like this mythological species as much as dragons, dinosaurs or something else. Yet I like birds. However I search, I can't find one phoenix that would please my soul. But I'm trying. This is mostly the best of those few I have found. But what is missing? Obviously and as usual the color is the best. And its shape, that equals with my taste, so whats wrong? Your previous works inspired me at least for a moment. But the phoenix bird somehow won't ignite that little spark of imagination and creativity. Irony isn't it. The bird of fire can't start the fire in my spirit.
This sounds bad, yet I still like to look at your phoenix bird. The colors. THE COLORS.
An idea struck me just a moment ago. If this picture had an interesting touching story, it could...nah...that idea is bad. Why does my enthusiasm leave so soon huh?
Anyway two word will mostly describe this picture. FIRE and FALL. And thats the end of my comment, because I don't know what to write anymore.
This comment turned out well I thing. Well it is kind of bad, but ...I don't know. You decide. Did you like it? Or, all the bad luck bestows me now cursed for all eternity by your discomfort. I hope it wasn't too long or too depressing or too, as I like to say, "annoying". Now seriously I tryed to put a small piece of my heart into this, sooo this is it. My comment to Shadow-of-Destiny's picture called Phoenix.
Last words: If you find this comment ...um... disturbing, its obviously because I am slightly disturbed too. Long live insanity. Just kidding. ((Or am I?)) )

and I didnt have a specific phoenis in mind ^^
the commissioner of the phoenix drawing from 2009 wanted to have a phoenix that looked more like an eagle and that's what I tried here as well

Yeah, full backgrounds always add the pizaz but drawings by themselves are always great too :3
