Description

They left the horses beyond the dunes.

"And? What it is?"

"The ashes are still warm, they aren't far away Mother Superior" the scout said. By the side of the ashes of a bornfire, where the bones of a macabre last meal.

"Ozcuras?" asked the older Battlenun, referring to the grey orcs that often raided the border settlements. Precisely, they had gathered responding to a razed farm.

The scout pointed the remains and the skull. It had small pointed teeth. "That's an Ozcura. The farmers that were attacked, where some of our own ozcuras. What attacked was something else, as normally ozcuras don't eat their kind."

"Some other goblinoids?"

The scout pointed some footprints on the sand. "Either large Humans or High Orcs."

The prioress frowned. "Savages".

A group of battlenuns of the Order of Saint Creöle in the Shores of the Hieyokscream Bay.

The Hieyokscream Bay, once home to the proud tribes of the warrior-women amazons, after the conversion to christianity by the Order of the Holy Sword of Nortender didn't renounced their martial traditions, and Nortender, often suffering a chronical shortage of manpower to fight the Remnants of the Dark Legions and the local revolts, will decide to make use of the amazonian warrior culture:

And so will be born the Order of Saint Creöle, the Ordo sanctae Creole. Founded after the order of Nortender by Saint Creöle and Saint Wolfgang at the 2347 a.a.H -yet only will be renamed after Saint Creöl after her martyrdom-.

The Battle Nuns of Saint Creöl will then become a key part of the forces of the monastic state of Nortender.

Hmn?  High orcs or humans as cannibals.  At least those who prefer Ozcuras for their nutritional value as opposed to other pursuits.

Of course, 'cannibalism' is likely a rather flexible concept.  The battle nuns are implying that Ozcuras also eat other humanoids--just not other ozcuras.

That stout battle nun looks like she is eager to 'chop some wood'!

No, Mother Superior! These are the remains that the Shraou didn't want to eat! said a voice behind.

Are there any Ulic Orthodox-style Battle Nuns, with the simple black habits and Russian Cross ☦️?
Their armor should also be Black, with ancient Rus style weapons....🤔
I think I’ve got a kernel for my own Aires story!

They would assumedly have plenty of examples of female warriors to draw from even without a history of Amazons like in the north. Both stories of the Nortender warrior nuns, plus the example of the more sexually egalitarian "friendly" (ie, subject) elves, not to mention tales of the Drow...

Humanity is generally pretty good at copying successful examples. (Plus 'militant orders' of some kind give a religiously acceptable outlet for people who descend from elves and manifest magical talent to use their powers in defense of the state...)
