Description
All my terragen. Terrain, surf map and atmos.Added a couple of duplicate layers in photo shop.
Made them in b/w with low transparency to accent the rock.

It was a test of a few ideas on surf mapping. It was a great deal of work to make but I really like it.
The atmos, as usual is a bit weak but still works.

I will remember that. The more I think about what you just said the more I realize I think that with out realizing it.
But now that I do realize it I will think more about what it feels like. I think this will help a great deal with some artist blocks I have from time to time.

I agree on the clouds. Problem was that everything I did to change things, changed either the lighting or the light colors.
meh, decided to just live with it.

Boom! The look is caused by a big zoom out. stretches things a bunch.

Good eye, it was the scale that got my eye.
Used a mod overhand technique to get the rocks to look so wild.

The rocks seem to have as much sweep and movement in them as the clouds. This is more than just realistic, it has artistic power.
