Description I found some time to make some progress on my Raza modell; I did some details on the top center and started working on the main hull.

I knew from the beginning that it would be very hard to get the hull right; Raza has a complex shape which is a mix of organic/round shapes and straight surfaces. My approach is to lay out the shape with polygons and then use a Subdivision Surface-Object with a Surface Weight-Tag to get a nice smoth shape. In order to get all the surfaces and connections right I will connect all the parts of the hull together into one polygon-object and let the Subdivision Surface-Object do its magic.

I still have to lay out the rought shape of the front and bottom then I can connect all parts and start working out the final shape and connections. I am looking forward to finishing the work on the hull itself since I like working on details more then laying out and tweaking these larger surfaces for hours in order to get them kind of right.

very nice seeing you make something again mate! never seen the show but ive seen the vfx reel for it!
and i agree spending hours on a organic shape wondering if its the right time to comitt or not is a pain in the arse if ever, keep it up!
