Happy New Year, everyone!I received "The Art of Shane Glines Volume 1" over Christmas and decided to try out a picture featuring Deirdre using some design elements from Shane, I like how she came out
Just exploring some options and trying out different styles.

Yes, still using Illustrator however I'm trying to finish a Jessica Rabbit pic using Photoshop with accompanying shadowing, etc.
I actually subscribe to Shane's website, I like the style and I want to get away from the super-flat Nick / Steve Silver style for awhile, if you know what I mean.

heh, I am quite honored! At the moment, I can only think of Sam visiting the beach in some kind of one-piece swimsuit, holding a beach ball. Or Sam trying out some new outfits at the latest goth clothing store. But I think you can figure out what's best for your style

Well, very interesting... but I think the white dress sans-outlines is a bit hard on the eyes, at least on my eyes at least.
Still, never hurts to try new things.

I don't think it's quite choosing another color, just that the white and the flesh are close in intensity. that's the problem in doing inks without outlines ala samurai jack or teenage robot, sometimes edges can wash out.
but that's just me, am sure others think differently.
