I know, I'm corny.

I did this for my boyfriend, Matt, for his birthday about a year and a half ago. For those of you who don't recognize the writing, it's tengwar, the language of the elves of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. As for the title, it is the opening song of Record of Lodoss War, which Matt & I kind of think of as our song. I took the lyrics of this song and translated it into Quenya, the language of the high elves. For you die hard fans out there, I will admit that I made some mistakes in translation, but luckily, few would be able to tell. I watercolored the background and used a calligraphic pen to write the Quenya. Unlike most of my work, I really like this piece, and I would love to do another sometime soon - so thanks for looking!
