READ ME READ ME READ METhis is my last print for Fanime, of Poison from Final Fight and Street Fighter
DEAR GOD, Let's NOT talk about whether or not Poison is a He or a She. Or that shes a Tranny. Im obviously showing Poison as a WOMAN. If you mention anything about this, im really not going to be happy.

It's not that I think she is, it's exactly what she is.

No offense, but wiki's are only partly based off fact.
The people who put this information down on paper are not people who work at Capcom or on Street Fighter. For all we know Dan Hibiki could be the strongest fighter ever and is only pretending to be weak for all we know.
It's not up for the fans to decide weather she is or she isn't. No matter how much "evidence" there is to support it.
Capcom could change her gender with the snap of a finger that it wouldn't even be funny.
And that's another thing if she really WAS a guy then Capcom would stop teasing us over her gender.
I'm not trying to defend her gender because "I'm ashamed of fapping to a guy." I just prefer her as a women, which people don't seem to understand.

I know the link is to a wiki, but I've heard and read this story from numerous sources. That truly is the background on her character.
Either way, she was always meant to be female but some PC issues got in the way and they made her transsexual. So, it's totally fine if you view her that way

Actually, she was originally suppose to be female, but the company was worried feminists were gunna bitch about women being beat up so they made her a tran. But in the end, its up for players to decide.

yep it was a very simple misunderstanding, she was never changed into a male her character sprite was replaced with a different sprite in the us (male billy and cid)

S(he)'s Hugo's manager, S(he) manages his matches as a wrestler. Hugo and Poison were in a gang and decided to stop and got into the wrestling scene. Sorry, but I say S(he) because the creator said "Poison is just a guy who tucks his junk back" He never explained the boobs though. I assume implants.
Anyway, I was actually planning on doing a Poison fanart to be apart my Street Fighter series I just started.

naw the character had exsisted for 2 years in japan before the idea was even brought up. they of course shot it down right away . poison and orxy where replaced with billy and cid (two different characters) this was for the us home console version. but since the japanese have no problem with this sort of thing and knowing capcoms love for inside jokes they continue to mock that past censorship so the confusion continues. that was a capcom emplyee but he was not the creator. the orginal creator of the character (to pelase everyone) said its up to the player to decide.

I like how you got her details pretty on. People mess up her look even though she's wearing few articles of clothing. Good job! And as far as I'm concerned and literal meaning should be concerned, Poison's details and background still qualifies her as a woman.
