I love this idea of an animal shaman. This shaman ... makes you trust him. He has one very kind, more "human" eye, and the other more mystical, farseeing eye. You could write a story around this character!

I was thinking part of the idea was shaman will wear the skin or other part of the animal to become that animal spirit. In this, the shaman has almost become the spirit animal completely or it is an animal shaman taking on the human spirit form. I get other ideas while looking at it.
Thank you!

This is beautiful and inspiring! Like others have been saying, the inspiration from thompson is there, but you definitely made it yours. I'm really in love with this right now.

I really love this piece- he's so mystical and crafty looking! really like the eyes and ears- the difference really adds a sense of otherness. Lovely work as always.

sorry, that's a positive response.
usually with a lot of your work i have an immediate emotional response, and while that is true of this guy there are also a lot more complexities that are making me work harder at imagining what's going on with him.
plus i always dig the swirl shoulders.

That's cool. Curious to know pos or neg responses. I thought this very different from what I have been posting lately. It had been sitting in the drawing book for a couple weeks.
Thanks for your feedback!
