It's a deeply evocative picture that recalls a large palette of feelings, from tenderness to melancholy.
Its colors, shades, all is skillfully calibrate with a wonderful technique, always keeping the wise structure of simplicity.
So... from the realm of dreams a bird listens to the mistery of life, hitting our unconscious like an archetypal image, bringing back to us the ability to see the world with innocent eyes.
The artist, as always, it's been able to speak the original language of the souls, showing to us a fragment of something so inwardly (and psychologically) deep-seated that is been forgotten.
And that needs to be rediscovered.

Very interesting details. One of the best things when looking at a picture is if you can stare at it for a long time, and still occasionally notice something new. This is definately one of my favorites.

Almost looks more like a mouse with wings of some sort, but that's just me being picky about forms. I really like the picture, especially the underside of the bird, which almost tells a separate story.

I have just now seen the mouse! Someone else mentioned it and it took me a long time to see it. It's supposed to be a tufted bird looking over its shoulder (sort of).
