For a first time drawing up Zecora, you ought to be pretty damn proud of what you accomplished with her Seshichan , not kidding.
Really a great feat to capture the feel of a character right off the hop but just looking at her you can really read the look and feel of Zecora just perfectly. Same goes for those lines that make her up and great job on taking the pony anatomy from the show and giving it a special touch of your skills.
Her form is much more smaller and tinier then on the show itself and I find it to look much cuter to be honest. Its almost like the CMC design with the smaller bodies but by no means am I saying that she looks too young or too small, bleh. Actually its great you did what you did with her look, giving her natural charm off with the stripes on her body, the warm smile from her face and such adorable looking eyes even I can't ignore them, lol.
Think what I like best of all is the way you play up the expression but just as well the body for that matter. Nice variation work with the hooves and the way they're placed almost like she's striking a pose and just overall a great job with captiring all the many special things that make up her look whether its her iconic golden jewellery, tall mohawk or the awesome cutie mark she has, this is just all to perfect.
The same might be said on your coloring and another thumbs up to you for that work as well. Its neat to see your able to play with some good lighting techniques as well as some shading too just to keep the body and her looking very detailed. With those effects you can see the direction of the light hitting her and even using it to help round out parts of her body like the back, the legs or even the curvature of the face. Oh yes and even extra thumbs up with the little things like the way the gold shines as it too catches the light or the way her green eyes really seem to have a warm glow to them. Its hard to describe but in short, it just plains awesome. ^O^
So again this crab says a big huzzah to what you made here Seshichan . Your work on Zecora definitely showcases your talent, even for a first time on her. *thumbs up*
