Endearing is an understatement. She's adorable because she is quite easily the most misunderstood character in Sacred Stones (note that Gerik's known her for years, but he only learns about her clumsiness in the epilogue -- IF you A-support them). So here, have an analysis:

Because she's the Crimson Flash, everyone thinks she's some kind of monster, but she really wouldn't hurt a fly if it wasn't on the battlefield. She's not really as deadly as people think she is at all. She doesn't just hit anyone who pisses her off.

She'll do anything for her senpai-- I mean chief, to the point of risking her reputation as a mercenary to stay loyal to him AND try to be sociable, even if she might end up being laughed at.
She went all tsundere in their A-support, but that's just a way she shows her affection. And the reason she rarely shows it is because she's just so damn shy, which Tana points out --
"At first, I thought you were brusque and... maybe a little intimidating, but you're really just shy and a poor conversationalist".
Marisa's response to this? Well, it wasn't as aggressive as some would expect, that's for sure.

Tana's first impression of her was a lot like yours, by the looks of it. Do you know how Tana became friends with her? She gave her a chance.

Her supports with Joshua show that she doesn't always win AND that she's not a sore loser. Also, without even knowing what Josh wanted her to do for him, she accepted anyway because she always keeps her word (and she trusts him). On top of that, she has literally no confidence in anything other than her skills with the sword, as she explicitly says that she's "good at fighting and not much else".

And I've also noticed how she has a sister-like relationship with Tethys. Tethys, at some point, refers to her as "my dear" in the same way that one of my big-sister-like friends lightheartedly refers to me sometimes. Also, she's the only one Marisa actually deliberately started a proper conversation. Tethys even sort of points this out --
"Will wonders never cease? You actually started a conversation!"

And have you ever heard the saying "nice and jaded from being isolated"?

That's her. As people reject and misunderstand her more, she gets even MORE shy, and the more shy she gets, the more she'll get rejected. It's a vicious circle. Even a lone wolf can be lonely and I, as a lone wolf myself, know that feeling all too well. Perhaps she prefers to work alone, not to show off, but because she doesn't have enough social confidence to work with other people. She might even think, in a way, that she'd hold them back -- she's a good fighter, but she sucks at teamwork.

I could add more, but I think I've written enough to make you cry all over your laptop and make it explode.

Marisa's so underappreciated. Most people train Joshua over her... (including... me... but I didn't know Marisa existed while I trained Joshie).

She's got fairly good stats, her own Shamshir, and she's... a girl! There aren't enough female myrms, I say.

Personal question, but who did you A-support her with? (Tana for me, but everyone else was taken)
