In my opinion, they're blue in this one. These are mysterious eyes. But regardless of their color, I love them too!

During my 300 hours of adventuring with Lydia I don't remember a situation when she died without my help. She even had a few giant flights and surprisingly, she somehow survived them all. And to be clear, I don't have any mods that make her essential.

I can be a bit of a worrywart. The first time I went out with Lydia, I accidentally hit her and she started attacking me! I don't begrudge her for it, I'd hit me too.

I remember doing a quest in nordic ruins near Windstand manor. There was a woman who was looking for something in there and asked me for help. Later she didn't want to sneak and ruined all my crossbow sneak attacks, so I didn't like her. And she was using fireballs. Once she accidentally hit Lydia... and that was her last mistake. It's cruel, but I was really grateful to Lydia then.

I totally understand as I'm I sneak based archer. When I've had to have followers, they've messed me up on my attacks when they wouldn't comply. Lydia's cool though, she understands.

Well, in my case, she was my first follower, I liked her, then loved and married her, and when we adventure together she's like my second character. It's nice to have her by my side and I talk a lot to her. Well, in my imagination.
And about usefulness - she saved my butt several times (and not only in early game) and, man, she kills a Deathlord with 2 hits, while I need 3!

Hm, I usually only keep her long enough to pick up Kharjo as a follower for myself. Everyone has their favorites I guess
