Description I'll put up more pictures later of the sides and stuff when I finish the accompanying strap, but I wanted to put this up now because I was getting kind of sad from going almost a month without anything to show for myself.

I also just discovered that I strung this thing backwards. Go me.

This is one wicked guitar cover, how long did it take and how on earth did you get all the measurements down being that it's such an irregular shape?

thanks! It took like three weeks, but it wouldn't have been that long if I hadn't had a range-of-motion-limiting surgery two days before I started it.

As to the measurements... well for the front I measured the dimensions of the fret board and the sound hole thing, put them on a piece of tracing paper and cut them out. Then I put this over the guitar so I could be sure they were spaced right, and traced around the edge of the guitar. The back was a little harder since it curves. So I put the tracing paper on my bed, put the guitar over top of that, pressed down on it to make sure the curve was accounted for, and traced around it. Then for the sides I used one of those flexible dressmaker's measuring tapes, measured the distance around it, marked off three-inch increments all around it, and measured the width at each of those marks since it started off at like 4" by the neck and wound up at 4.5" at the bottom. So yeah, that was a fairly involved process.

aww thank you so much! It took about three weeks. It probably would have taken less than that but I had to get surgery like three days before I started it, so that made it a little more of a challenge. But I seem to have survived so far, so it's all good.
