*is in awe of the turban* That is a lovely picture, especially with all the detail on the cloth.
Well...to me, at least, I like it the most simply because I do not understand how to do those kinds of details, along with the wonderful concept of the whole thing... ^...^b.

Just experiment a little with lines and shading. It's really quite fun to do, and if you're lucky the result won't look half bad (:

That's what I usually do, I never really pat attention much to what I'm doing when I do anything...
But yes, I suppose I'd be lucky if my things didn't look half bad. Yours looks good enough XD

Ghrey In reply to seppy [2005-10-19 03:00:23 +0000 UTC]
No, generally that's when I do most of my pictures.
Science to me is my foster-parent of art...it's where most of my creativity strikes me, when I zone out listening to the lists of ions and isotopes..
Now just thinking about it makes me sleepy...yawn...
But yeah, I need to do as many classes as I can before my motivation plummets down the drain...

lol same with me in social class especially. for some reason science doesnt' bother me that much, probably cuz we get to talk about mutating babies and such XD

Ghrey In reply to seppy [2005-10-27 00:56:19 +0000 UTC]
Mutating babies? Interesting, what elective is that?
...I suppose the largest reason people believe babies are 'mutating' is all the junk we stuff in our cows. *shifty eyes*

seppy In reply to Ghrey [2005-11-05 03:37:24 +0000 UTC]
haha, what odd thoughts!
we've just finished genetic therapy and DNA replication and the such. it wasn't all that bad i guess. It's freaky how much biotechnology has developed in these past years. I mean, we can pretty much design the perfect baby, but i don't agree with the idea. I don't mind the fact that we'll probably be able to cure a variety of genetic diseases in the near future.
ahaha, great. i sounded like a nerd didn't i? >.< school's getting to me. ew.

Like how? XD You watch the science channel and decide it's too simple for your unique pallet?
Nah, nah, I'm only joking ^...^ But yes, I really do feel sorry for your lousy schedule...Some teachers should just get a whack in the head and a swift boot on the rump if they can't teach -.- At least, that's what I think of most of MY teachers, at least...
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
seppy In reply to Ghrey [2005-11-11 05:22:08 +0000 UTC]
no, i've been deprived of the science channel also =_= but they only had monster trucks and macho guys on there anyway
oddly enough, i don't mind my teachers as much as I do the things that they have to teach us. they're given a very very strict lesson plan apparently. The teachers themselves are odd, sometimes intolerably cruel, but amusing, so i can't really bring myself to hate them.
bah, i feel paradoxical today
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Ghrey In reply to seppy [2005-11-11 22:10:02 +0000 UTC]
Paradoxical? That's a new one, I should write that one down for reference o.e;
But, as I've noticed, almost everything on any channel is going to have 'guy' things, the sort of things that little boys have been stereotyped as 'this is what men like' so that's what most tv channel owners think will attract ratings. No? Maybe.
Yes. I think the government largely doesn't understand what we actually like doing. They just devise things that we'll never need in later life 'to that detail' and expect us to remember it anyways.
Did you know that generally with trivia we forget about 15% of it every day if we don't study it a certain amount of time?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
seppy In reply to Ghrey [2005-11-12 01:20:27 +0000 UTC]
oh really? For me, i forget about 80% every day, but 95% if I crammed for it before a test since i just forget it all afterwards ._.
i find it annoying how tv programming tend to stick in utterly useless tv shows. there's a certain line between entertainment and just plain stupidity. reality TV is a very good example (*cough*wifeswap*cough*)
and they don't have enough programming on important urgent world problems, such as AIDs/HIV support in Africa, social injustices, state of third world countries. How are we supposed to help if we don't know the problem? These days, we spend way too much time on stupid matters like "OMG JEN'S BROKEN UP WITH BRAD!!". WELL SO WHAT?? LEAVE THE LADY ALONE! =_=
*ahem* (end of ramble)

Ghrey In reply to seppy [2005-11-12 04:43:22 +0000 UTC]
Hahhaah, OMG BRAD'S BROKEN UP WITH JEN
Yes, reality tv is boring and stupid. But you know those other tv commericials where they have those random people come out and talk about a poor girl with no shoes?
See, that's the kind of respect those kinds of TV shows have. Basically, it happens out that the tv would become education again and education ='s bad.
All those bad things in the world, if they had a tv show that involved them, it would be good (cough cogh M.A.S.H), or bad (cough cough shoeless girl support funds).
*ahem* (end of second ramble)

no, it wasn't that hard really. The thing about cloth is you can just draw a whole bunch of zig zaggy lines, and as long as they go in the right direction, it'll work out ^^
