Thanks to for the idea.This will probably end up as a Regiment of Renown rather than a regular unit. Probably a mercenary unit, seeing as the new fluff has griffon be somewhat greedy.
Talking about new fluff, I think I'll stick with the scandinavian style for my griffons.
Maybe I'll do a Griffonstone faction with Slavic armour once I get to the Rule of the Sisters...

You know, Sensko, when I see this I imagine the Griffon Valkyries to be some holy order of warriors like the Asari Justicars from Mass Effect. I really like your Griffon artwork, Sensko. Please keep up the great work

I actually thought about doing something along these line (griffons fighting harder when Valkyries are around, so they'll get to Griffon-Valhalla), but in the end I decided against it infavour of making them a mercenary band with a twist (already got a backstory , just gotta write it down).

did a pretty great take on feudal griffons. The main problem is gonna be making my stuff distinct enough from his.
I'll probably play up the Eastern European aspect we got on the show.
Probably something based around the king and his knighst (maybe with an Inner Circle tasked with protecting the Idol), some sort of missile troops, some mercs/soldiers of fortune (Landsgreife?)

I would recommend either a Kievan Rus approach or Medieval Russian approach (a la Druzhina) with what you have in mind.
