Finally done and scanned at a decent resolution.Based on a still of Marlene Dietrich and Jimmy Stewart from the western parody "Destry Rides Again."
Graphite on paper. actual size approx. 5x8.5"

The girls nose looks a bit... of balance? not correctly shaded in a way, but this is a very, absolutely gorgeous piece of work! I just fell in love with it the moment I saw it!

Ah much better upload. Nice shading and excellent attention to detail (Dietrich's hair and even the shadow cast by the curls). Great job on the expressions as well - they look alive and content.

haha I can relate - I hate drawing hair. The shadows in hair are so ridiculously subtle it's infuriating.

I never found straight or wavy hair to be particularly bad (it seems like you can cheat a bit and still have it look pretty good)- it's just the curly hair that kills me.

True there are ways of making it appear normal and yeah the straight and wavy hair I imagine must be way easier than curly but still I always dread dealing with hair. It's just not fun to me (which is probably why my drawings don't have hair).
