I'm amazed this is like the only piece of fanart of this character on DA. He's a great villain and has a ton of depth to him, loved every issue with him (even the Barracuda five-part mini-series).
Personally, I think Ennis' Punisher Max series would make a great HBO series, like Game of Thrones or something that is equally super-intense: Pun.Max isn't a superhero comic in any way, but has some of the best characters I've ever seen written up, Ennis is a genius (with issues, ha ha).

I agree with you man! Barracuda is one of the best characters ever introduced in the last 10 years! He's definitely a very interesting villain for Punisher and sadly, he had a very short stint... too short if you ask me.
And yep... i dont know why there's not much of a fan base for him. This drawing is one of my oldest and i would love to draw him again... here's another piece i did with him :thumb159395284:

I love Barracuda. Would just be any other 'thug' if it weren't for his optimistic carefree attitude. And cannibalistic tendencies of course. It somehow is a really intruiging blend.
I didn't think i liked the Punisher till i read Punisher Max, and realized how much depth he could have. I think a movie could work if it was basically the comics from Kingpin to The End with bits of his other adventures sprinkled in throughout, and Bullseye replaced by Barracuda (Bullseye is too complex a character, he'd overshadow the Rise of Kingpin and the mystery of why Frank Castle really does what he does.) Barracuda can be a simply entertaining and imposing force, the 'dragon' to Kingpin. The only problem with that would be that another film couldn't be made.

I think they could make another movie. They could make a stand alone movie of the whole Punisher MAX Barracuda story arc. Same as you, i didnt care for Punisher much before but after Max, maaaaan that shit reeled me in like a teenager with boobies!
I always thought Michael Clarke Duncan would be a great cast for Barracude but sadly, he juz passed away.

finally! someone who also likes barracuda. i was beginning to wonder if anyone on this site read punisher max at all... it would be cool if you drew this character more... (spoiler)btw a bunch of corrupt generals, those of issue "man of stone" who worked with rawlins tipped him off. it was important that they didnt know about the baby, so they knew of no more way to get to castle.

Dont worry about spoilers bro.. ive been onto the Punisher MAX like it was Tera Patrick! LOL... IMO, there arent much new villains in the the comic scene that could be a classic but Barracuda is an instant classic! Love him better than any other Punisher villain.. even Jigsaw!

Yeah... he was one of the most shortlived but colorful characters that ever graced the pages of comic books. And there's no way of coming back from the dead with that one.

I always thought Michael Clark looks a lot like him! And his body is perfect for the character as well! Damn... would be great if he was the villain in a third movie if they ever plan to make one...

That's the question to be asked. He was wacky as hell with his character in Armageddon so i think he could do a pretty good job. Better than any other guy his size i think.
The only other guys i can think of are Bob Sapp (huge MMA fighter who played the huge dude in Elektra), Michael Jai White (Spawn and Tyson) and the funny break dancing guy who plays Chris' dad in Everybody hates Chris. But i think Duncan is still the best of em all in terms of looks, body type and acting prowess. The voice fits great too!

One thing still puzzles me about the Long Cold Dark. Who tipped off 'Cuda about Yorkie? In part three, just before he shot the little doll in the head, Castle asked him if he ever called this mystery muthafucka back. 'Cuda said know, which meant this mystery man didn't know about the baby, which would be important later. But we never saw that loose end get tied up, did we? Is this the end of the Punisher for real? Because after he killed Barracuda, he said that he stopped being the Punisher immediately after picking up his daughter. Surely this can't be it!

Nah man... he returned the kid to the aunt. But i have no idea what the next story arc will be about though. One thing's for sure.. it aint gonna be shit. 
But sad to see Cuda leave us so early though... sigh. if i got the time and if i have the skillz to pull it off, might do a piece of Cuda and Castle duking it out.

The possible drawing. I've seen pictures of Ray Stevenson as the punisher. He's wearing this ridiculous lokiing vest thing with a neck guard that reaches his chin. The pictures are at SuperHeroHype! No, I wasn't shouting that sentence; the exclamation point's actually part of the name. I heard it's supposed to come out sometime in the fall.
