You've certainly captured the feel of winter in this image, especially in those frosty trees. Yet, the atmosphere feels very light and airy - fragile almost. However, there is a sense of the coldness too.
The beautiful girl adds the surreal element, and I guess the hourglass represents time-running-out, or perhaps "change". I can't tell if you painted the girl, but she does look like she's sitting on the snow. Her hair is excellent. Its toning works in harmony with the background.
It is a lovely image, and I get a sense of positivity from it.
I haven't listened to Tori Amos in many years. I bought her first album on cassette on its release. It's a great album - very emotional, and I just love her voice and piano playing. That particular song suits this image very well. I must listen to it again.

Yes it is. I remember when the album was released I played it constantly. At that time Tori was new to me, and to produce such a stunning debut definitely caught my attention.
I actually went to see her live during that tour. She was on stage with a grand piano, and sat sideways to it, facing the audience. It was a spine-tingling performance. Her support act was the late Michael Hedges [link] who played amazing things on his acoustic guitar. Another great talent.
"Little Earthquakes" remains my favourite of her albums.

I've seen her live twice, and each time blew me away. She's also very friendly. I had front row tickets to one concert because she was touring with Alanis Morissette. I know Alanis' former manager, Glen Ballard, and he got us tickets. Anyway, just speaking with Tori for a few minutes was incredible. She has the kindest eyes, and, man, is she ever talented with that piano!
