Description
Being that summer has started here in Tokyo, I've decided to call her Natsuko(summer child). Akiba(short for "AKIhaBAra") is an area in downtown Tokyo where you can buy the latest in high-tech electronics, see girls in cosplay, and go to many anime/manga shops. I had some free time at work, so I came up with this. It started out as a doodle and I decided to explore it further.Related content

There are hundreds of stores that sell electronics and cheap, too! A lot of cosplay people hang out there. If you're into anime and manga, that's the place. It's fun to hang out there on a Sunday.

That's sweet! People here in North America aren't so accepting of that sort of thing... Anime-related stores are rare, and cosplayers hanging out in the streets is even rarer...

REAL glad you decided to explore it. Because that has to be one of the most fantastic pieces of artwork that I have ever seen. I can't critique you, or point out any mistakes of things you need to work on - because you, mate, are WAY too good for that. (And I'm a novice.

good work my friend, i like how you did the ambient lighting on her face, although the shiny points on her cheeks tend to be a bit distracting, but anyways, this is a good pic.

A little etchy in places like the frontal brain lobe extension thingy and it's connection to the skin, lighting on the nose could be the tiniest little bit less distinctive.
but putting those aside, this is an awesome picture, verey stable, and presented well

This is an amazing piece, you've truly got shed loads of talent going on. What medium did you use as the colouring is superb I love the way you've brought out the detail of her mecha.

hey, thanks a lot! I did everything from sketch to final rendering in PS CS2. Actually, I was doing a lot of experimenting, seeing what worked and what didn't. It really involved a lot of trial and error. thanks again!
