The details in this picture are real feast for the eyes. I can see more and more as I keep looking, and I find it really enjoyable.
The fact that she is dressed in mourning dress, but has that smile in her lips makes me think of black widow. Of course I must admit I know absolutely nothing of your characters, so if my speculation is way out of place or somehow offends you I apologise. ^^

Falline's hair looks so pretty!
I really like the plastic way your characters look - like they were real dolls.
Congratulations!

Tsk...you blow my art away..bad at drawing..come now. The anatomy is a bit off but it works here and the details more then make up for it and the focus is the clothing is it not? Well at least it seems that way, this time. SO no worries, its beautiful, keep up the good work!

A 1780's mourning dress? Wow, I've never seen one before. I love the design of it. And of course the details in this are as beautiful & wonderful as ever. I like their poses. (And hey, they've both got some fancy hats. Imagine trying to make one of those?) As for anatomy...yep, it's challenging. Somtimes my excuse for when I do awkward anatomy is, "It's stylized."
I'm glad to see that you are back on DA! I look foward to seeing more of your great artwork. By the way, if you are interested, I finished my Disney Princess (in historical clothing) artwork. I drew Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, & Snow White. Now people have got me going on wanting to draw more historical costume, especially the Tudors. That's going to be a challenge. I'm familiar witht he Tudor history, but the clothing is another thing.

Long time indeed!! Where on earth have you been, I've missed your updates!!!
Been toiling away with photoshop...if you don't mind me asking, do you use the blur tool much on your projects? And the lovely highlights in your hair, are those just simple streaks with a slanted brush? I' m so sorry to be a bother, this is rocket science to me, everything i color seems to turn out ickishly. T.T

School's kept me busy, but I'm finally finsihed so I can get back to drawing at last
I never use the blur tool; the only thing I use is gausian blur (it's listed with the other effects), but that's only after all the inking and coloring is done. As for coloring, I use a lot of layers. When doing hair, I have on top a layer of black streaks (for where the hair is darkest), but that's a part of the inking. The color layers include, first, a base color, then a darker shadow, next a layer of highlights (with color dodge), and finally a layer of thin strands, done with a 5 pt hard edged brush.

I'll have to try that out then. I use a bunch of layers too but when its time to do the lowlights and highlights thats when things go south for me so I've been trying a bunch of different tutorials and methods. Thank you so much for the tips hun, I'll give 'em a shot on my latest!

I love the detail of the lace and the embroidery. Gorgeous! To be very honest, I personally preferred the faces in your earlier, work, though, when they were a little rounder and more "friendly", and the fingers were a little less claw-like.
But that is just my personal opinion, and I guess their pointiness makes your style more individual and recognizable. So, don't take me too serious, your work is unique and beautiful either way, and the number of your fans proves it.
